Overview
The ISL9239HI Charging Controller IC (commonly designated in schematics as U7000) is a SMBus buck-boost battery charger chip responsible for managing power intake, battery charging, and main power line generation on Intel-based MacBooks.
This critical power management chip communicates directly with USB-C port controllers (CD3215 / CD3217 series) to create the primary system voltage rail (PPBUS_G3H). Replacing a damaged ISL9239HI chip is the standard micro-soldering solution when liquid damage, short circuits, or voltage spikes cause battery charging failure or a dead logic board.
Key Features
-
OEM-Grade Quality: High-precision IC designed for accurate current sensing and buck-boost power conversion.
